01 · The intersection
Architecture taught me to take something complex, translate it, and build a system clear enough to use and grow. Miki+ applies the same method to brands.
Master of Architecture with Distinction. Prefabricated housing, Passive House informed design verified in PHPP, CNC-cut timber systems, construction documentation and community-led projects.
Reading a brief, structuring a system, and communicating it clearly to clients, consultants and the people who build it. Good design is structure before decoration.
An independent brand design studio. Strategy, logo suites, colour and type systems, guidelines, collateral, social content and websites, for clients in New Zealand, Germany and beyond.

Dean's List 2021Born in Hong Kong, raised between Abu Dhabi and Aotearoa New Zealand, with an English father and a Japanese mother. Working across cultures, languages and time zones comes naturally.
My thesis applied a translation and systemic design method to architecture. That same method now sits under everything at Miki+: take what is complex, translate it, and build something clear enough to use and grow.
